Electrical Field Engineer - Electrical/One-Line Diagram/Ship 35-65 $/hr

Location: New Orleans, LA, USA
Large Engineering Firm is currently seeking an Electrical Contractor to perform a US Navy Ship Check docked at a US Port with a to be determined location.

Responsibilities:

-> Physically check electrical one-line diagrams to on-board US Naval vessel electrical systems
-> Verify that the electrical one-line diagrams for the ship are correct and make manual drafting edits for any new additions or electrical systems or components not depicted in the drawings
-> Report back with the component or system description, line numbers and resulting equipment tag numbers
-> Perform electrical load analysis, and short circuit analysis to properly size power distribution system
-> Review system components and cabling to determine compliance with military standards

Requirements:

-> 3+ years of experience with electrical one-line diagrams
-> US Naval vessel experience is preferred
-> One-line diagram experience must include: generators, cables, power and lighting feeder and branch circuits, transformers, circuit breakers, contactors, relays equipped with shunt or under-voltage trip features and circuit resultant load current, 3 Phase
-> Must stay on site for 1+ month until project is completed
-> BSEE, preferred - US Military or Navy Electrical experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
