Location: Saudi Arabia MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: BS Mechanical Engineering. Computer literate including knowledge of various Microsoft packages. Experience: Ten (10) years. Candidate should possess shop floor and field experience in heavy gas turbine engines such as General Electric different model (GE frame 5, 6 and 7), Westinghouse and Mitsubishi. The candidate should be familiar with aero-derivative gas turbine engines. The shop floor experience should include assembly, disassembly, diagnosing, capability to read and understand engineering drawings and use the original equipment manufacturer manuals. Should be able to troubleshoot, analyze and write technical reports. The candidate should be capable of preparing work scopes, and provide recommendations to carry out repairs, modifications and changes as necessary and capable of carrying out commissioning of gas turbines and be familiar with international standards governing the different aspects of the gas turbine engines. The candidate should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and should be capable of problem solving and failure analysis.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES: Provide technical advice on disassembly and assembly of various types and sizes of mechanical equipment and related components (Pumps, Compressors, Steam Turbines, Air Blowers, Gearboxes, etc.) Provide guidance and advise on diagnosis of parts, sizes and clearance of mechanical equipment and its related components. Help shop craftsmen in the analyzing and troubleshooting of failed equipment and rework jobs. Provide proper guidance and occasional training to shop craftsmen on the use of OEM technical manuals, industry standards and company procedures. Provide necessary technical work scopes and recommendations for equipment machining, welding, balancing, modification, testing and other repair related activities. Provide assistance and support by conducting field visits for repaired equipment commissioning and start-ups. Should have excellent problem solving skills and broad knowledge of Root Cause Analysis techniques with the ability to understand priorities and work with limited supervision. Prepare technical repair work scopes for equipment machining, balancing, welding, testing and/or modification in line with OEM recommended practices, common industry standards (ASME), AWS, API, ASTSM, NACE, etc.) and company procedures.
