POSITION DESCRIPTION: Develop and coordinate major studies in any of the petroleum engineering areas. Consult with and provide technical guidelines to management and related engineering groups on matters which falls with their area of responsibility. Review activities requirements and ensure implantation. Schedule well work to ensure the wellhead and down hole integrities. Recommend and implement ways to improve the well productivities. Review remedial actions to safe upkeep of wells and producing facilities. Review work of engineers directed on project where additional manpower has been assigned. The incumbents must have the ability to train, develop and coach others. Incumbents must be aware of the safety related issue with well, production facilities and environment.
SELECTION CRITERIA: Minimum 12 years of diversified experience with broad knowledge of all facets of production engineering. Should have extensive experience of well completion/recompletion operations, wellbore intervention techniques and optimization of production systems. Design, installation and performance monitoring of ESPs and gas lifting. Moreover, application of hydraulic fracturing techniques in tight carbonate reservoirs. Off shore gas engineering experience is strongly desired. Thorough understanding of safety and environmental practices.Effective communication and mentoring with high computer skills. Ability to train and develop others. Education: B.S.Engineering or equivalent technical field. M.S or PhD is desirable, but not required; intensive industry training including appropriate specialized courses and seminars is expected.
