Location: Saudi Arabia POSITION DESCRIPTION: The candidate must have a strong background in reservoir management. Incumbent will be involved in daily activities focused on monitoring and optimizing the performance of major oil and gas field programs. Activities include: 1) analysis of reservoir displacement efficiency from well performance, interpreted production and open-hole logs and reservoir simulation model results; and 2) developing workover and drilling plans, and improved production and recompletion strategies aimed at maintaining the field production target and optimizing reserves. The individual should have strong oral and written English communication skills. Computer and simulation skills, demonstrated ability to train others and familiarity with geological concepts, emerging technologies and horizontal well applications are a definite plus.
SELECTION CRITERIA: Minimum Year of Experience 10-15, Minimum Degree BS in Petroleum Engineering. Other acceptable Majors Chemical Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering. Thorough knowledge of reservoir engineering and understanding of penhole and production log analysis and interpretation techniques. Familiarity with computer software techniques used for log analysis. Experience in well test analysis in oil and gas reservoirs. Experience with complex multi-disciplinary reservoir development projects. Experience in simulation model results analysis.
COMMENTS: Responsible for the management of all Saudi Aramco non-associated gas reservoirs and Southern Area oil and condensate reservoirs. Main activities include formulation of reservoir development, data acquisition, strategic surveillance and monitoring master-plans, to ensure optimal development and depletion strategies. Provides guidance and oversight on best-in-class reservoir management tenets, practices and state-of-the-art technologies for all Saudi Aramco hydro-carbon assets.
