Successfully operating in the civil construction industry for over 80 years this organisation is a developer of first class staff, with award winning training systems, benefits and incentive programs. Being one of Australias largest engineering and construction giants they have expanded their civil division in terms of manpower, capabilities and turnover. Operating for almost century they have built some Australias most iconic structures and land mark buildings.
We are looking for a Commercial Manager / Contracts Manager with a Quantity Surveying back ground to work onsite managing all commercial agreements, contracts and cash flow on a large scale water project in North Queensland. You will have a team of admin staff to handle the procurement and commercial management of the entire project. Upon completion of this project you will have the option of promotion into the North Queensland Commercial Manager position.
While working closely with the Project Manager and the North Queensland Construction Manager your role will include
Assist Project Managers in subcontractor and consultant management Manage head contract variations and scope changes Develop cost controls for projects and reporting requirementsAccount finalisation of head contract and subcontracts It is envisaged that the successful Commercial Manager will posses tertiary qualifications in civil engineering or quantity surveying. You will have a solid work history with demonstrable experience undertaking a similar role on major infrastructure projects.
