Qualifications:
Engineering degree with at least 5 to 10 years related experience.
Previous experience with oil and gas economic evaluations.
Experience with a wide variety of pool types in several different operating areas within the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong business sense and desire to learn more about the commercial side of the O&G industry.
Innovative thinker, able to apply theoretical principles into practical applications on both producing and non-producing entities.
Proficiency in computer applications including Value Navigator, Petrodesk, Geoscout and/or Accumap, and Excel.
Strong production and operations experience would be a great asset.
Strong evaluations experience is an asset.
Familiarity with the US Basins would be an asset.
Responsibilities:
Create accurate and detailed technical and economic evaluations of potential oil and gas acquisitions in this very active and dynamic group.
Identify drilling, recompletion, optimization, and/or improved recovery opportunities and quantify this upside with appropriate risk factors.
Present recommendations and articulate ideas to senior management and other team members, and quantify upside potential and present risk factors.
Opportunity:
This is a full-time position located in our Calgary office within the Business Development team and reports directly to the Manager, Evaluations.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced exploitation or reservoir engineer who would like to expand their knowledge of the Oil & Gas business.
You would be a key member of the Acquisitions Evaluations team within an integrated Business Development group.
