Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in the design and construction of oil and gas production facilities.
Field experience is a definite asset for this position.
Proficiency in spreadsheet and engineering software applications is required.
The successful candidate will have strong communication, organizational and team skills complemented with a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
Work with Production group (office and field) to scope out complete grass roots facility designs, plant debottlenecking, and troubleshooting of existing facilities;
Construct production facilities adhering to good cost, schedule, and quality control;
Improve the design, timing, and costs of facilities by working with the field and office Production staff;
Co-ordinate and provide technical assistance in optimising existing facilities;
Be knowledgeable of all current regulatory (AEUB, SEM, BC Ministry) directives and guidelines, and comply with them;
Be aware of, and work according to, applicable Guidelines, Directives and Regulations with regards to the Environment, Safety, Energy & Utilities Board, and the Alberta Boilers Safety Association;
Ensure compliance in the following areas: Environmental Review, Boilers Branch and Safety
Opportunity:
Our end client is an intermediate independent oil and natural gas exploration, development and production company based in Calgary, Alberta. This position would be a full-time position contracted out by an EPCM firm.
