TECHNICAL ADVISOR, Shovel Un-decking & Repair
Throughout Alberta and BC (90% Travel)
Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for directly overseeing shovel and dragline repairs including following safety regulations, studying conditions, determining appropriate equipment, reviewing data as well as planning/coordinating project schedules. As a supervisor, you will support technicians and interview/hire/train employees. In a project management capacity, you will prioritize work activities, set goals and objectives and look for ways to improve and promote quality.
Qualifications
Requires more than six years’ related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience; MSHA certification; job-related competencies in math and language; solid problem-solving/analytical, leadership and people management skills; ability to meet physical demands including lifting/moving up to 50 lbs. (occasionally 100 lbs); and proficiency in MS Office suite. All un-decking equipment must be provided b y the successful applicant.
