The Horizon Alliance is a collaboration between QR and the Department of Main Roads, and John Holland Group, GHD Pty Ltd and KBR Pty Ltd to deliver significant projects for the South East Queensland Infrastructure Plan and Program.

The Darra to Springfield Transport Corridor Project is focused on the design, management and construction of road and public transport links to service the growing Greater Springfield area.

The Horizon Alliance is currently seeking a Safety Professional to join the DSTC Project team. This is a full-time role based at the Richlands office.

Reporting to the Safety Manager, your main duties will include:

Managing emergency primary care of injured workers Managing the workers compensation\rehabilitation function (liaising with medical providers, maintaining relevant paperwork) Managing first aid and medical functions Executing health and safety strategies Providing guidance in hazard identification and risk management Incident investigation Fostering a strong culture of safety Conducting regular audits and inspections, monitoring programs and reporting Implementing practical solutions to improve safety outcomesIf you have:

A passion to proactively contribute to our ‘Zero harm’ culture Practical work experience as a medical\safety professional in civil infrastructure, mining or construction industry Relevant tertiary qualifications or trade experience will be highly regarded Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and motivate people The ability to work collaboratively with others
