POSITION SYNOPSIS

Reporting to the Vice President of Project Development, Metallurgical Coal, you will ensure excellent project definition and successful project execution by developing and leading the Brisbane Hub in close cooperation with a Tier 1 EPCM Company. This role will provide support and guidance to the Project Directors and Project Managers of the individual projects within the Hub and ensure that the value of the program approach is maximised.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

To be successful, you will have substantial Project Management and Leadership experience across all areas of the function including:

• Diverse Major (>US$1B) project experience including positions as the Project Leader in the minerals industry and internationally (15 years minimum)

• Knowledge and experience of working with global EPCM Contractors and their systems

• A passion for excellence in safety, health, environmental responsibility and sustainable development

• Technical knowledge of mining and/or petroleum and related industries

• Ability to identify and assess key project risk factors during the study and execution phase and to recommend corrective action

• Timely identification of problems during development and project execution

• Effective relationship and people management skills, including well developed oral and written communication skills

• Ability to relate and communicate at all levels within the organisation and externally

• Ability to maintain a focus on the big picture while working in the details of program and project delivery

An appropriate tertiary qualification is essential and relevant post-graduate qualifications would be considered an advantage.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

An attractive remuneration package, commensurate with your qualifications and experience will apply. A relocation package to Brisbane can be discussed with the successful candidate.
