Position Synopsis
Reporting to the VP Human Resources - Iron Ore, this newly introduced senior business leadership role will have significant impact on the Iron Ore business through its key functional areas of organisational design & senior talent management. In a fast growing business that is a world leader in its field many opportunities will be present to practice well developed skills in structural design, project planning and implementation. As with any forward thinking business there will also be a strong focus on the identification and development of future executives through the implementation of an effective senior management talent program to support the succession planning model.
Key accountabilities for this opportunity will include:
* Continuing a strong commitment to safety and environment into overall business culture;
* Develop, maintain and review Iron Ore’s organisational design standards and processes to respond to changing business imperatives;
* Talent management of senior executives within the organisation, including succession planning and the creation of an external talent pool to protect the company’s future leadership strength;
* Benchmark and implement global HR best practice to deliver appropriate critical business strategies; and
* Design of the organisation’s cultural change strategy.
Skills and Experience
People of interest to us will most likely possess significant experience across the varied practises of HR, and have demonstrated success in design and restructuring of complex multinational operations. They will have planned and facilitated the implementation of numerous change management projects associated with joint ventures, mergers or acquisitions. Strong conceptual thinking ability and excellent interpersonal skills supporting the development of productive relationships with senior executives will be key factors in the achievement of success.
