We are expanding every facet of our Iron Ore business as we develop new ways to deliver competitive advantages to our customers. Our most recent growth project, Rapid Growth Project 5, will take installed capacity at our Western Australian Iron Ore operations to 205mpta by the second half of calendar year 2011.

We now require an exceptionally organised individual, with a keen eye for detail, to provide a high level of administration support to the Sustaining Capital Department. Your efforts will contribute to ensure the accuracy and currency of information.

With an eye on safety, you will focus your efforts on the following key accountabilities:

* Providing Support to the sponsors and project managers across the site;
* Review all IARs and ensure that IARs and necessary supporting documentation are complete;
* Monitor and track all IAR’s to ensure timely review, processing and approval;
* Schedule meetings with required attendance, prepare agendas and issue documentation for projects;
* Prepare and issue minutes of meetings;
* Maintain a document control system;
* Monitor the timely release of funds for approved IARs and ensure PMs are aware of funds release;
* Participate in project portfolio review meetings with GMs, Sponsors and PMs to monitor issues and requirements for IARs; and
* Other duties as required.

Skills & Experience

To be considered, you will have office administration experience and proven proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of applications, especially Excel and Word. Previous experience with Microsoft Access or other database applications will be viewed favourably. A sound knowledge of GSAP will be highly regarded.

In addition to your first-rate administrative skills, your ability to communicate confidently at all levels and establishe a good rapport with a diverse range of people is essential. Able to operate effectively with limited supervision, you are a master of multi-tasking, optimally prioritising your work.

Local conditions apply: this role is only open to people who can supply their own housing in Newman in accordance with BHP Billiton Iron Ore’s Housing policy.
