Owned and operated by BHP Billiton, Cannington is the world’s largest and lowest-cost producer of silver and lead. Located in northwest Queensland, our operation boasts an underground mine and processing mill situated approximately 800 kilometres west of Townsville, and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville. Position Synopsis

We now seek a highly motivated self-starter, with a proven commitment to safety, to join a dedicated team responsible for ensuring the safe and continuous operation of our Townsville Port Facility. With a primary focus of the coordination and implementation of administrative support, you will be expected to adhere to safe work practices, complete all required documentation and tasks, and maintain high levels of housekeeping. You will facilitate Visitor Site Inductions and Port tours, along with manage the reception needs of the facility. In addition, you will take responsibility of data input and administration of both the training and stock recording systems, as well as provide back-up and leave coverage to the Logistics Officer.
Skills & Experience

To be successful in your application, you will be a team player with a drive to continuously improve and succeed. Your high level support capability demonstrated in office administration roles will be supported by excellent windows based software skills. Experience using GSAP, First Priority and/or CDMS will be highly regarded, along with exposure to logistic support environments. You will have excellent customer service skills with a dedication to achieving your goals and providing best practice support.

This role will suit and experienced administration support professional looking to advance their career within the logistics industry.
Employment Conditions

An attractive remuneration package, commensurate with your qualifications and experience, will apply. This position is based at our port facilities in Townsville on a Monday to Friday roster.
