A highly regarded company, with significant interests in the Australian coal industry, and ambitions to further expand is currently seeking a Senior Mine Planning Engineer.

The Organisation:
Regarded as a leader in the exploration and extraction of coal resources, this company has a strong past and a bright future. The organisation has multiple operations in Australia and also has interests overseas. The organisation boasts strong & supportive management and is continually promoting from within.

The Position:
Based in the company's office on the coast you will be forming part of a team focusing on a large project. The position will entail mine planning, contract negotiation and the successful applicant will be required to undertake significant travel. Permanent & fixed-term contract opportunities will be discussed during the interview stage.
The Person:
Minimum qualifications & experience required for this role include:
Tertiary qualifications in Mine Engineering 5 years experience in open cut mining Some experience in coal mining Strong mine planning skills and familiarity with different mine planning software Experience with commercial contracts, tenders & negotiations (preferred not essential)
