SW Global Resourcing would like to speak with experienced Piping Structure Engineers. We are working with our client who has over 20 years proven experience and success in the provision of services to global Oil & Gas operations
A vacancy has arisen for an experienced Piping Structure Engineer who will play an integral role within the companies "Piping-Valves-Vessels/Structure Team. Processing requests for modification (RFM) and supervising outsourced engineering studies for piping and structure
The main responsibilities of the Piping Structure role will be:
Realize or supervise engineering activities in its discipline:
Participate in the preparation of piping & equipment layout drawings, isometric drawings, metallic structure calculations and drawings, etc;
Prepare piping equipment datasheets and MTO's, structural material MTO, make technical evaluation of tenders
Guarantee the good execution of engineering studies in accordance with company rules
Ensure rules, procedures, specifications, safety and environmental protection requirements are respected in engineering studies deliverables;
Guarantee the realization of work in accordance with safety, operability and maintainability requirements;
Follow up procedures and instructions to be executed by subcontractors in a safe and efficient manner;
Liaise with other departments in order to ensure delivery schedule and planning of the work are met:
Project & Construction department, HSE-Cost & Planning department, Field Operations department, etc
Inspection and Control activities:
Check technical conformity of proposed solutions, materials and documents;
Initiate proactive detection of potential problems/issues/concerns
Communication activities Services:
Liaise with colleagues involved in the RFM processing and works
Liaise with subcontractors to coordinate availability and suitability of deliveries
Participate to RFM kick-off and progress meetings
Liaises and support Contractors representative for site surveys
Maintains good relationship with the Contractors
Take part in the training of Angolan junior engineers
Requirements
At least l 0 years of experience of engineering practices and piping, valves and vessels design! metallic structure design;
Good knowledge of Total E&P technical referential in order to guarantee reliability and consistency of technical information and files delivered internally and to COMPANY's subcontractors;
English language is used in all technical issues.
