Manufacturing Engineer - Manufacturing/Turbine/Casings

Client that designs and manufactures technologically advanced products and systems for the power generation industry has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Manufacturing Engineer with 8-10+ years of experience with the shop processes required to execute the manufacturing of large complex industrial gas and steam turbines structural casings, including but not limited to process routings, cycle time tracking and creating BoMs. The ideal candidate will be someone that worked for a turbine OEM or a 3rd party manufacturing or service company that manufactures both rotating & stationary turbine components.

Responsibilities:

-> Creates Bill of Materials and shop production routings using SAP/PowerMax, based on product database management (PDM) Production Orders from Order Management
-> Runs casing production model through MRP to resolve any issues with casing order and production process and schedule
-> Estimates and tracks production hours required for the successful manufacturing of large steam and gas turbine structural stationary casings
-> Ensures, with tooling designers as required, that proper fixtures, tools and gauges are available
-> Collaborates with Engineering to resolve technical and quality issues as they arise, upholds and participates in the company quality and EHS programs, and performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

-> Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or a Technical degree with five (5) years equivalent practical experience with processing large structural turbine casings
-> 8+ years of experience with the shop processes required to execute the manufacturing of large complex industrial gas and steam turbines structural casings, including but not limited to process routings, cycle time tracking and creating BoMs
-> Thorough understanding of engineering drawings, standards and specifications
-> Knowledge of large steam and gas turbine stationary structural components
-> Training and knowledge in PDM, & SAP/PowerMax a PLUS

• Detail your level of understanding of engineering drawings, standards & specifications.

• Do you have a BS degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or a related area? If not, what degree?
