Apply Deadline: 1 Dec 2009 Location: Springfield, MO, USA Worldwide manufacturing company seeks Process Electrical Technician to improve line effectiveness and reliability of electrical, electronic and mechanical systems in it's southern Missouri facility.
Responsibilities:
-> Work to improve the equipment's electrical systems and controls
-> Provide technical support and training to plant electrical, electronic, servers and process control systems
-> Develop and modify software programs
-> Using AutoCAD, update equipment documentation and electrical prints
-> Maintain up-to-date library of all PLC programs
-> Maintain data systems (servers, HMI's, laptops)
-> Improve line effectiveness and equipment reliability by recommending/ implementing improvement on equipment
-> Facilitate parts requests from Maintenance Associates
-> Handling electrical/ control schematics and control cabinet drawings and instruction manuals for electrical systems of new installations
-> Take a leadership role as Incident Commander for Emergency Response Team on assigned shift
-> Utilize the SAP systems to document maintenance activities
Requirements:
-> Understand and accept ISO 9000 quality culture
-> Minimum of 5 years industrial electrical/ electronics/ process control experience
-> Strong knowledge in maintenance, electrical/ electronic power and control systems
-> Strong knowledge in use of Allen-Bradley and Texas Instruments programmable logic controllers for machine/ process controls and troubleshooting
-> Experienced designing circuits and control cabinets using PLC's temperature controllers, counters, and miscellaneous control/ pneumatic hardware
-> Use and operation of process variable sensing elements (RTD's, thermocouples, transducers, humidity/ moisture meters, photoelectric sensors etc.) and be able to apply them to manufacturing environment
-> Be able to configure and calibrate all forms of electrical, electronic, and pneumatic process equipment
-> Use AutoCAD
-> Electrical installation and construction
-> Application of both AC/DC motor drives
-> Communicate technical information efficiently and effectively with all levels of management and plant personnel

• How many years circuit design and control cabinet design experience using PLC-s temperature controllers, counters, and miscellaneous control- pneumatic hardware do you have?
• What experience have you had preparing 1-line and 3-line diagrams including phase relationships? There will be a test given prior to any interview taking place, those who cannot will not be interviewed.
• If given schematics, can you identify?
