Our most recent growth project, Rapid Growth Project 5, will take installed capacity at our Western Australian Iron Ore operations to 205mpta by the second half of calendar year 2011.

Position Synopsis

We are seeking a motivated and highly organised individual to provide efficient and accurate administrative support to the Project Services and Portfolio Studies Managers. Located within the Asset Reliability and Sustaining Capital Department, you will play a key role in managing all aspects of administration across these two groups, ensuring a high level of support is provided to the Managers and their teams.

Key responsibilities include:

* Prepare, upload and check for completeness, all Investment Authority Request (IAR) for projects;
* Monitor and track all IAR’s for timely review, processing and approval;
* Schedule Capital Review Committee (CRC) meetings, prepare agendas and issue minutes;
* Monitor the timely release of fund approved for IAR’s;
* Maintain a document control system according to nominated standards;
* Ensure budget re-allocations are processed and approved;
* Participate in CRC and Project Portfolio meetings to monitor issues;
* Assist with intermediate and annual auditing; and
* Other duties as required (ie. travel bookings, data entry).

Skills & Experience

To be considered for this role, you will have a minimum of 4-5yrs experience in an administration support role, ideally in an Engineering or Mining environment. You will display advanced proficiency in the full suite of Microsoft Office applications, in particular, Word, Excel and Power Point. Previous experience working with SAP or other similar programs will be highly regarded.

In addition to your high-level support skills, you will be methodical and accurate in your work approach and exhibit an exceptional ability to prioritise competing work tasks. You will display a positive, “can do” attitude and be able to work with limited supervision. Your ability to communicate confidently at all levels and establish a good rapport with a diverse range of people, is essential.
