Superintendent - Long Range Planning and Projects

Reporting to the Manager - Long Range Planning, Research & Development, you will responsible for ensuring the completion of Long Range Planning initiatives and projects. You will ensure the development of a robust long-life asset and continuously work towards improvements of planning governance issues.

The successful applicant will have a combination of the following expertise:

* Post graduate qualifications in Mine Engineering, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or Business Management
* A minimum of 15 years post graduate experience is required with 10 years experience in technical leadership roles. All practical experience will be in relevant work environments.
* Experience and leadership in a range of commodities, in both operating and technical roles
* Mine planning and project evaluation experience in both open pit and underground mining methods
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* COMET, Vulcan or XPAC experience and a track record in reserve estimation is highly desirable

This competition is limited to Canadian citizens or persons who have legal authorization to work in Canada.

This position is located in the Yellowknife Office. Hours of employment are 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday. The incumbent is required to live in Yellowknife, relocation assistance is available.
