Blackwater Mine is one of the world's largest open-cut coal operations, producing 13 mtpa of metallurgical and thermal coal and is located just outside Blackwater. A vacancy exists for a progressive and dynamic Planner/Scheduler to fill an integral role within the Blackwater Mine Ancillary Maintenance Department. You will report to the Ancillary Maintenance Superintendent and lead the planning and scheduling of short and long-term maintenance for, but not limited to, Legra highwall pumps, medium vehicles and water treatment and sewerage plants.
We are seeking a person who has a proven track record of delivering results in safety, continuous improvement strategies and ensuring commitment to the planned maintenance schedule. To be successful in this role, you will be a highly organised individual who thrives in an autonomous position but also enjoys working within a positive team environment.
The successful candidate must have:
• A proven commitment to safety through contributing to the Site Principal Hazards Management Plan by ensuring compliance with all safety procedures, safe work instructions, SOPs, Coal Mining Act and Regulations and conducting reviews to monitor compliance
• Experience in light/medium and heavy equipment diagnostics and preventative maintenance, equipment strategy development and reliability analysis
• Possess the appropriate trade or engineering qualifications
• Excellent computer skills with experience in computerised maintenance management systems (eg: GSAP)
• Experience in maintenance task identification, planning, scheduling, allocation and completion (Work control)
• Sound knowledge / experience in preventive maintenance, equipment strategy development and reliability analysis
• Possess a current driver’s licence
