Nickel West is the world’s third largest producer of nickel-in-concentrate.
Leinster Nickel Operation is located 375 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.
The operation sources nickel ore from the Perseverance Underground Mine and the newly commissioned Cliffs Underground Mine before crushing and processing to produce a concentrate. The Leinster Village and Township offer a unique lifestyle with more than 1400 people and all the modern conveniences - an Olympic size swimming pool, health and fitness centre, race-course and even an 18 hole golf course.

Think Purpose
The Mechanical Technician is responsible for the maintenance of all equipment within Fixed Plant, working with the highest priority to safety at all times and in doing so, supporting LNO by being industry leaders in maintenance.
Think Requirements
You’re a trade qualified Mechanical Fitter / Boilermaker with post trade Fixed Plant experience in a mineral processing environment. A strong working knowledge of Crushers, Warman Pumps and Hydraulics will be viewed favourably.
Further preference will be given to candidates who possess qualifications for Crane, Forklift and EWP operation.
You have excellent problem solving and organisational skills, a flexible approach to work and the ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
It is essential that you be able to work underground and hold a current Australian Drivers Licence.
All employees of our Leinster Nickel Operation must obtain a federal police clearance.
