Nickel West is the world’s third largest producer of nickel-in-concentrate.
Leinster Nickel Operation is located 375 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.
Nickel operations at Leinster include the Perseverance Underground Mine, Cliffs Nickel Mine, Rocky’s Reward Open Pit Mine, other satellite deposits, and a nickel concentrator and dryer.
The Cliffs Nickel Mine is an integral part of the Leinster Nickel Operation, located 12 kilometres south of the Mt Keith Operation. Cliffs is a narrow vein nickel/cobalt deposit and is an underground mining operation.

Think Purpose
Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, the Heavy Duty Diesel Technician is responsible for preventative and breakdown maintenance of all underground mobile equipment within mobile maintenance, working with the highest priority to safety at all times, striving to complete work within agreed timeframes and in doing so, supporting the Cliffs Nickel Mine by being industry leaders in maintenance.
Think Requirements
We are seeking applications from suitably experienced and qualified individuals that have a working knowledge of underground mobile equipment technology issues and maintenance techniques.
A trade certificate, sound knowledge of safe work practices and experience in underground mining or heavy industry environments will see you excel in this role. Experience with a wide range of equipment, including EWP’s, Forklifts, Overhead Cranes and Electronic Diagnostic Tools will be highly regarded, as will a Senior First Aid Certificate.
A current WA Drivers Licence and Police Clearance are essential.
Leinster Nickel Operation including Cliffs has a clean shaven policy.
