Position Synopsis
We now seek a highly motivated and exceptionally organised leader, with excellent planning skills, to take on the role of Mechanical Team Leader - Outflow at our Finucane Island Operation. You will be required to support and work as part of the maintenance team to ensure that the Outflow Group continuously achieves high levels of availability and reliability in the most efficient, cost effective and safe manner.
Role and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor - Outflow, you will be expected to apply your problem solving and decision-making abilities to the following responsibilities:
* Supporting an incident/injury free environment, leading by example and coaching the team to meet and exceed HSEC targets;
* Leading and coaching team members in the active pursuit and achievement of maintenance and productivity targets;
* Performing all the duties expected of an Engineering Technician Mechanical;
* Monitoring and measuring standards of work and performance of team members;
* Completing all required documentation, data entry and reports;
* Actively participating in the maintenance planning process;
* Complying with legislative requirements and company polices; and
* Identifying and executing continuous improvement projects.
Skills and Experience:
To be considered, you must have a Mechanical trade qualification, a track record of accomplishment as an Engineering Technician, and a thorough working knowledge of systems and procedures within the HSEC, Supply, CMMS, GSAP and Quality Assurance arenas.
Computer literate, you also display a high level of initiative and excellent interpersonal skills. Credible and committed, you display effective communications skills, crucial to motivating team members, and presenting plans and ideas in a clear and concise manner.

This is a residential role, based in Port Hedland in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Located on the coast, Port Hedland is the largest regional centre in the North West, close to Broome, Karratha and Karijini National Park. The 15,000-strong population enjoys well-established education service, entertainment, sporting, shopping and medical facilities, and a strong sense of community.
