Position Synopsis
Operating in a climate of continuous improvement, you will focus your expertise on supervising control room operators to achieve production rate and plant stability KPI’s. To achieve this, your skills in failure analysis as well as instrumentation and control system performance will be vital. Your sound knowledge of equipment costing and budgeting processes will be applied to monitoring costs and assisting in the preparation of budgets for maintenance and capital projects. You will actively engage external contractors as part of the control system maintenance and development. You will also be required to manage small projects and gather information for investigations and inquiries.
You will be actively involved in troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLC’s (PLC5 and controlLogix), RSLogix, CitectSCADA and reporting systems, whilst providing innovative and robust solutions that comply with site standards.
Skills & Experience
To be considered, you will have attained a tertiary engineering qualification in an appropriate discipline, and a minimum of three years proven experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, ControlLogix software and Citect SCADA systems. You must have excellent communication and influencing skills, as you will interact with a diverse range of people. Experience in the mining sector, or a related industry, as well as leading teams will be well regarded.
Location
This is a residential role based in Newman, a town of approximately eight thousand people. It has excellent sporting facilities that cater for a wide range of interests and age groups, a well-appointed shopping centre, and education services to senior level. Full relocation and subsidised housing will be offered to the successful applicant.
