The Position

Reporting to the Dispatch Supervisor, as Dispatch Engineer you will be provided with challenging and exceptional opportunities to work within a diverse mining environment. Supporting the commissioning and post installation operation and maintenance of the Modular Fleet Management System (FMS), you will be integral to the success of the FMS, delivering accurate, real time data to achieve GEMCO’s long term production targets in both overburden removal and ore production processes.

The Purpose

* Supporting the commissioning and post installation operation and maintenance of the Modular Fleet Management System (FMS)
* Responsible for the collation of real time information and optimising mining processes to maximise machine utilisation and productivity in a safe operating environment.
* Monitoring, recording and disseminating information regarding the status of mining activities through the FMS
* Ensuring that equipment stoppages and delays are recorded and promptly reported to the Shift Supervisor and the Supervisor responsible for mobile fleet maintenance.
* Reducing equipment downtime by liaising with mining and maintenance personnel to ensure priority equipment is returned as quickly as possible to mining
* Reallocating mining equipment and personnel in conjunction with the Mining Shift Supervisor
* Ensuring trucks dump at the correct location and adhere to blending plan into the Primary Crushing and Screening (PCS) circuit
* Consolidation of end of shift reports dealing with the progress and productivity for the shift
* Maintain a clear understanding of safety, maintenance and production priorities
* Initiating first line responses in the event of a site emergency
* Maintenance of high standards for productivity and equipment utilisation on site.

The Requirement

Sound knowledge of mining production activities, computer literate, demonstrated ability to prioritise activities and knowledge of dispatch systems and/or GPS technology is preferred. Enthusiastic and self-motivated you are a goal orientated individual who strives to achieve the highest work standards. With strong interpersonal skills, excellent organisation and a keen eye for detail you will ensure delivery of the highest level of service to the business. GEMCO is looking for a strong team player, with the capacity to take ownership and assume accountability for achieving targeted goals.
