BASIC PURPOSE
The purposes of the Tollgate/Risk Management Supervisor position are to 1) serve as the functional leader for the Petroleum Investment Process system, and 2) provide risk management leadership for Development.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Steward the Petroleum Investment Process system
• Guide project teams through the investment approval system
• Liaise with the Investment and Value Management office regarding Peer Review Teams and Investment Approval Requests
• Mentor project team regarding application of risk management systems

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain the Petroleum Investment Process Manaul (PIPM)
• Advise project teams regarding proper application of the PIPM
• Advise project teams regarding application of Risk Management systems and tools
• Standardize risk management tools for BHP Billiton operated projects
• Provide input to Group Level Documents from a Petroleum perspective
• Participate in functional and peer reviews as necessary

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Undergraduate degree in engineering, MBA a plus.
• Thorough knowledge of BHP Billiton corporate and Petroleum investment processes.
• Minimum of 15 years experience executing capital projects, minimum 10 of which are directly related to planning and management, preferably in the Petroleum industry.
Experience & Technical Competencies
• Broad experience in project execution and management in all phases of projects, from inception through project close out.
• Demonstrated capabilities in leadership, interpersonal relationships and communication skills
• Experience with project implementation under strict HSE Protocols
• Risk Management
• Business analytical skills
• Computer literate
