Salary Range: $100,000.00 - 150,000.00 CAD /year ++++
The successful candidate will provide technical input for surface and underground mining engineering projects. These projects will focus on pit slope design, underground rock mechanics, mine planning, economic analysis, equipment cost estimation, reclamation and the preparation of preliminary assessments. The experienced candidate will provide engineering support for pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, proposals/bids, and mining projects. Engineering project management will include weekly reporting, design change notice management, capital estimate management, effective client communication both establishing and maintaining relationships. You will be required to assist the contracting and business development groups with tendering work and estimation site visits as needed.
Qualifications
• Minimum 12 years practical experience in Open Pit and/or Underground mining.
• Degree in mining engineering
• Proficiency with mine design / planning software (i.e.Gemcom, infomine)
• Team player with strong leadership capabilities and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong mentoring and coaching capabilities.
• Eligible to be registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in the Province of British Columbia
• Excellent proposal / technical report writing
Individuals with Canadian experience are preferred however all candidates with relevant experience and qualifications will be considered. Only candidates selected for our short list will be contacted.
