THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by a major international oil company to provide a Head of Contracts Engineering for a residential position based in Lagos with some international travel. Reporting to the Services Manager this is a senior role in the development of a deep water condensate facility. 12 months (renewable) contract. Internationally competitive daily rate.
THE PERSON
Manage / supervise a team of 5 Contract Engineers. Organisation of workload. Track development of each contract, manage post contract administration from award to closeout. Provide advice, analyse requests, ensure certificates / guarantees are in place. Coordinate processing of applications for payment, verifying invoice submissions. Prepare closeout documentation. Establish / maintaining contract database which tracks evolution during life of project. Tender / contractually administer c. 50 contracts, ranging from drilling services, maintenance / inspection services to offshore logistics.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Must be Degree qualified. Extensive previous experience in both pre and post contract engineering in large oil & gas projects in client organisations. Good team management / communication skills. Ensure engineering / HSE is performed in line with the project scope and international codes & standards. Interface with other parts of the project regarding contract engineering matters including: safety, UFR, SPS, field operations, commissioning, quality and participate in coordination meetings. Must be fluent in English.
