THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by a major international oil and gas company to provide a Contracts Engineer - Field Operations to be based in Lagos, Nigeria on a residential basis with possible missions to other project sites internationally. Contract renewable annually. Internationally competitive rates. Good conditions and high security. This position is open to Nigerian citizens only.
THE PERSON
Minimum of 8 years experience in contracts administration in the oil and gas industry in similar positions. Responsible for identifying risks associated with contract and incorporate, if applicable, risk mitigation and management into the contract documents. Responsible for development of advertisements and Prequalification packages. Responsible for the process of developing the evaluation matrix for the Prequalification submittals. Responsible for administering Prequalification exercise of contract and reporting results. Responsible for ensuring that Prequalification and ITTs are issued in accordance with contracting policies / procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
BSc related to contract administration and / or cost control engineering, cost or quantity surveying, degree or equivalent. Working knowledge of SAP ERP 6.0. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Detail oriented and results focused. Sound knowledge of industry and customers. Experience working with internal / external customers as related to oilfield contracts administration. Basic awareness of contract law and related legal concepts including practical application in a business environment, in particular, upstream oil and gas operations. Ability to work independently and make decisions. Ability to think analytically and creatively.
