Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Project Engineer for a major contract in the Brisbane CBD on a landmark project. Initially working on a reinforced concrete frame commercial headquarters this project is due to start imminently and has a programme of 2 years. You will be heading a team of Engineers working in tandem with the design team to ensure and overcome design issues for the entire contract duration. Working for one of the major players in the building game this company has one of the very best retention rates in the southern hemisphere and are going from strength to strength.

Due to the success of their client lead project delivery and also winning work in open tender due to their quality reputation we are now looking to enhance the major projects team with some key appointments. Reporting to the Project Manager you will assist in the appointment and management of specialist sub-contractors for the various packages of works for the project. You will be the principle point of contact for the subcontractors and management / design team to ensure the smooth running of the project.

Position

Organising and chairing progress meetings with sub-contractors as requiredAccurate site records, document control and Quality AssuranceManaging the recording all documentation supporting health and safety Liaising with all relevant parties to ensure that packages of work are on time to meet and ideally beat program time frames and budget costs whilst also ensuring that all Alliance obligations are met. Must be a team player and good communicatorThis position requires someone with construction experience preferably from an engineering background with some major project experience. Ideally you will be degree qualified and be a good team player with the ability to manage and communicate at all levels.
