Large Construction and Engineering firm located in Tallahassee, Florida is actively searching for a Lead Electrical Design Engineer with PE registration in Florida, and design experience with industrial systems in the Pulp and Paper industry.
Responsibilities:
-> Functions as Design Leader for E&I engineering projects including supervision of Designers and Engineers
-> Provides technical expertise in the E&I discipline, including Electrical Power Systems design, and Process Control design
-> Determines feasibility of engineering requests
-> Oversees the progress of design work and assumes responsibility for Released for Construction (RFC) drawings/document
-> Develops project scopes for construction estimates, and engineering design effort estimates
-> Performs hands on design and preparation of drawings using CAD software
-> Updates and reports project schedules on a regular basis
-> Assumes role of technical resource to construction, client site engineering management and operating modules
-> Keeps open communication with construction, client site engineering management, client operations, and maintenance personnel
-> Responsible for the overall quality of the E&I engineering package
-> Ensure the documentation of important matters
-> Responsible for keeping abreast of E&I technological changes, applicable NEC and OSHA regulations, and IEEE recommended practices related to the Pulp and Paper Industry
Requirements:
-> BS degree in Electrical Engineering
-> PE registration in Florida, or other state recognized by the State of Florida
-> Minimum of 10 years experience in detailed Electrical Engineering design in industrial systems preferably in the Pulp and Paper Industry
-> Experienced in use of Microstation or AutoCad software with regard to hands on production of drawings
