Immediate contract opportunity for a Technical Illustrator to work in the QA division of a great company. Located right in northern Virginia, an opportunity that is close to all; transportation, restaurants, shopping, etc.

Responsibilities:

-> Produce quality technical illustrations supporting the Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM)
-> Update/modify existing graphics ensuring quality and conformance with current standards and processes
-> Enforce quality requirements to include responding to corrective actions and provide related informal instruction to customer
-> Attend and participate in meetings and briefings within a product team environment
-> Provide guidance to IT personnel on the data elements for delivery of IETM content and provide on-site support to test activities (travel as required)
-> Develop and maintain IETM quality metrics related to graphics/illustration reviews as required

Requirements:

-> Prior experience in the areas of technical illustrating, graphics development and content development
-> 3D graphics and content development/ authoring tools, i.e., AutoDesk 3dS Max, Adobe Production Premium Suite, Adobe C3, etc. and Microsoft Office products
-> Occasional overtime, weekend and off-hours as well as occasional travel in support of IETM management
-> Knowledge of preparing and maintaining illustrations/graphics for technical content (within Military environment is highly desirable)
