SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNER

Our client has a high dominance in the Environmental industry marketplace and have a belief in innovation and continual improvement. As part of their growth strategy in Sydney they are seeking to make the key strategic appointment of an Senior Environmental Planner to join the Environmental planning group.

This role will see you directing and managing key client projects related to Planning at both a technical and operational level. You will have a number of Environmental Planners reporting through to you on a project basis and you will be instrumental in managing all aspects of major projects.

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes:
• At least 5 years experience in a similar position
• Experience in managing teams of planning professionals
• Expert knowledge of the preparation of EIA's
• Relevant tertiary qualifications
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Eligible to be a certified practicing planner with membership in the PIA

Preference will be given to candidates with consulting experience in environmental planning, environmental impact assessments and waste and land development markets.

You will be responsible for:

Environmental and Development approvals under key legislation
Environmental Impact Studies and Assessments
Preparing plans and procedures for environmental management
Knowledge of the Planning Act and Environmental Protection Act.
Planning experience withing Gas / Mining and Transportation is also seen as exceptionally favourable. Our client is keen to attract a professional of the highest calibre for this role. As such an attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
