An immediate opportunity exists for an experienced environmental engineer with solid experience in environmental project management on construction projects. You will be accountable for the technical output across the environmental team, maintaining environmental standards across the project, reporting and liaising with project directors on all environmental issues.

As the ideal candidate you will have relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental engineering or an associated discipline. You will have the ability to prioritise and effectively manage multiple deadlines and have experience working on high pressure, construction projects. Your technical environmental expertise will be consummate and your people management skills will be demonstrated through experience leading a team.

The project itself is a $140m vicroads project and engineers on this project are then earmarked for one of Victorias largest projects in history due to commence next year. Our client is Victorias busiest contractor and can offer something that few of its competitors can; longevity of work and a strong portfolio well into 2010.

You will possess a high level of interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills plus a strong knowledge of the environmental protection act. You have notable experience developing environmental management systems that are integrated within the construction process.
