This highly successful resources company has experienced significant growth in recent times and has mining and processing sites across Australasia. Situated at one of the largest mining operations of its type in the world, this position presents an excellent opportunity to further your career in a challenging role while enjoying the residential lifestyle of an idyllic tropical island with excellent medical, educational and recreational facilities.

Working within a small team of short, medium and long term mine planners, you will be responsible for on-going review and development of the LOM plan, as well as:

Leading a small team of Mining Engineers
Identifying strategic issues and appropriate risk mitigation
Continuous improvement to project NVP
Pit optimisation strategies
Maintaining awareness of technical innovation
Drive the safety improvement program within the mine planning team
You will have:

Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering
10 years experience in open pit metalliferous mining
Minimum of 3 years in a planning role
Demonstrated ability to contribute to a realistic LOM plan
A flexible attitude, with strong communication and software skills
