Outstanding job opportunity with this exceptionally sound oil and gas operating company for the well experienced oil and gas Joint Interest Billing Accountant. Here, we need the person with 8+ years of direct oil and gas JIB accounting experience and degree in accounting or finance. Position: Senior JIB Accountant
Requirements
• Experience 8+ years of Joint Interest experience in the oil and gas industry
• P2/Excalibur Software a plus
• Degree in Accounting; CPA a plus but not required
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Access skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong COPAS background
• Strong Excel skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and autonomously
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude and results-oriented
• Ability to work overtime as required to meet deadlines
Primary Responsibilities
• Joint Interest Accounting for Gulf of Mexico properties
• Prepare and maintain overhead tables and entries
• Update and maintain property allocations for prepaid and platform expenses
• Prepare payout calculations and reporting
• Prepare lease operating expense accruals
• Update and maintain Joint Billing Schedules (Decks)
• Set up AFEs in the accounting system
• Prepare billing JE’s for direct labor charges
• Assist in the analysis of lease operating expense analysis
• Assist in JIB review and distribution process
• Special projects as required
