Qualifications:
GIS/Geomatics Degree or relevant work experience
Minimum 7 years of related work experience with managing and developing GIS tools
Knowledge in pipeline as-built survey data, spatial data management and project management
Experience using and implementing ESRI technology
Previous success in coordinating, facilitating or managing people to achieve exceptional results
Responsibilities:
Accountability for the GIS projects such as pipeline data integration and GIS tool development
Steward and manage the development of GIS tools
Project planning and execution, status reporting, risk and issue mitigation and stakeholder management
Scope and justify new GIS tools and enhancements
Development of plans and budgets
Manage roll out GIS tools and enhancements to internal clients
Coordinate with GIS Program Manager to define GIS Program, vision, scope, and strategy
Respond and manage adhoc data requests
Provide GIS technology and methodology guidance on pipeline engineering projects
Requirements:
Proven GIS project management skills
Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
Proven ability to quickly understand a wide variety of engineering disciplines and applicable GIS
technologies
Excellent research skills
Excellent time management skills
Ability to make justifiable decisions based on research and analysis results
Must be able to work in a team environment
Previous data management background in pipeline data would be an asset
