The Mining House
Our client is a leading mining house who is set to expand their underground operations in NSW; they are currently seeking an experienced Underground Mechanical Engineer to manage the mechanical engineering on site.
The Position
As the Underground Mechanical Engineer your primary responsibility is to ensure that operational targets and requirements are successfully met through:
• Developing, implementing and maintaining overall mechanical management systems
• Running of the team and coordination of contractors
• Evaluation of operating equipment to meet safety and production standards
• Mechanical budgetary responsibility
• Statutory Responsibility and upholding a strong safety ethic and enforcement of this throughout the team
The Requirements
To be a successful underground mechanical engineer and to manage a mechanical team on a large site - it is essential that you possess a NSW Statutory Mechanical ticket of competency. It is imperative that you come from a strong background in underground coal and have prior experience in a similar position. You will have a demonstrated ability to manage others and achieve operational outcomes. Communication skills must be at an above average level and to thrive in this position you will be an ambitious and driven individual.
