Duties/Responsibilities
The Barge Foreman will report to the Barge Superintendent and will supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in laying and burying underwater pipelines, risers, and the installation of jacket, decks, and salvage work. Key personnel reporting to the Barge Foreman will be Leaderman, Riggers, and Operators.
¨ Supervises workers involved in one or more occupations such as rigging, heavy lifts, pile driving, cargo handling, and salvage work.
¨ Studies production schedules and estimates worker-hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
¨ Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
¨ Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
¨ Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules, using knowledge of capacities of machines and equipment.
¨ Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product, and suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase productivity.
¨ Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
¨ Recommends personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharge and disciplinary measures.
¨ Requisitions and inspects materials and supplies, confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of departments.
¨ Assumes responsibilities of superintendent in his absence.
¨ Works a 12 hour shift in an offshore environment.
¨ Enforce company Safety Policy.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
Computer Literate.
Over 1 year of offshore experience preferred.
Works a 28/14 offshore rotation.
Ability to obtain a TWIC Card and Passport.
