Job Description:
The Lead Flow Assurance Engineer will conduct and manage projects requiring flow assurance support and design at all levels, and mentor and supervise young engineers.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare or review flow assurance design basis, project execution plan, specifications and bid documents
* Perform steady state and dynamic simulations using industry standard software, and prepare reports relating to pipe sizing, thermal performance, flow regime, slugging, chemical injection, start up, shut down, pigging, etc.
* Prepare operating strategy and philosophy reports including the mitigation and management of flow assurance related issues such as hydrates, paraffins, asphaltenes, oil gelling, corrosion, erosion, solids deposition, scaling, emulsions, etc.
* Prepare operating procedures and manuals to include flow assurance issues, valve testing, pigging, etc. for use by operators
* Interface with other engineers and review/check design
* Perform/supervise all necessary flow assurance engineering activities
* Train junior flow assurance engineers
* Provide bid engineering support and prepare CTRs relating to flow assurance engineering
* Establish productive and efficient relationships with key suppliers and contractor organizations with good value
* Occasionally provide marketing support to the business development group
* Oversea project progress, monitor change orders and attend regular meetings
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
• Minimum BS degree in engineering (Chemical/Mechanical/Petroleum)
• 15+ years of professional experience in the offshore oil and gas Industry
• Experience in both shallow and deep water operations with feasibility, conceptual, FEED and detailed flow assurance engineering of both single and multi-phase systems required
• Awareness and knowledge of current related technologies, practices and vendors capabilities a must
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards
• Capable of working with multi-tasks and managing complex projects
• Good organizational skills and experience in supervising engineers
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with Clients, Consultants, Vendors and other lead engineers in a multi-discipline project(s) a must
• Proficiency on Microsoft Office suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Extensive experience in using industry standard software including PIPESIM-NET, MULTIFLASH, OLGA2000 and PVTSIM
• Must have good communication, writing and presentation skills and excellent work ethics and work attitude
