Production Technologist required for operator in Aberdeen to start within next 1-2 months, on a staff basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide well operations support to the producing asset to the Subsurface team and the UK Upstream Production, Commercial Operations and Well Engineering teams.
- Monitor Field and well performance.
- Ensure that the wells are operated in accordance with the Field Development and Reservoir Management Plans.
- Operate the field Integrated Asset Model and Production Data Management Systems in support of the commercial requirements.
- Complete and report the individual field production allocations for reservoir management purposes.
- Support UK Upstream Production Excellence and Operations teams with short term production forecasts and production loss analysis.
- Assist with the planning, execution and interpretation of routine production well testing.
- In conjunction with the Subsurface and Well Engineering Teams plan, execute and interpret field data acquisition and well intervention programmes.
- Present well performance updates to management and external partners.
- Promote a safety and environmental awareness culture.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified engineer with a BSC, MSc, PhD
- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team on an operated field, Production Technology experience or will have relevant well site field operations experience.
- Understanding of the reservoir, petroleum engineering and operational issues from sand face to export.
- Knowledge of production monitoring and allocation techniques.
- Ability to take part in planning and executing well intervention and data gathering programmes, including analysis of data collected.
- Familiarity with artificial lift, sand control, flow assurance and production chemistry issues
- Knowledge of the following software packages advantageous:
Nodal analysis e.g. Prosper
- Well test analysis
- Integrated Asset Models
- Production Data Management Systems
