Equipment Integrity Assurance Engineer

Location: Baku
Equipment Integrity Assurance Engineer required for operator in Baku to start June 2009 for an initial 12 month contract with possible extension thereafter, on a residential basis.

Key Responsibilities;

Development and implementation of materials, equipment and third party services assurance programmes to ensure that HSE, technical integrity, quality and operational reliability issues are fully addressed from design, through procurement until equipment deployment. This includes assisting the discipline engineers in identifying the technical integrity assurance requirements to be applied and managing the assurance process to ensure that the equipment will meet the functional and technical requirements in line with integrity assurance specification for tubulars and connections services.

Key Requirements;

- Good understanding of drilling and completion equipment
- Experience in identifying technical and quality assurance requirements for incorporation into procurement specifications.
- Ability to develop and implement management systems to deliver technical compliance.
- Technical and/ or Quality Control understanding of the materials and equipment involved with the oil and gas or similar industries.
- Ability to lead technical, HSSE and Quality Audits on contractors and suppliers.
- Ability to interview and assess the competencies of TPI personnel during selection process.
- Specific areas of experience which would be advantageous are:
- Manufacture, test, inspection, repair and running practices associated with drilling and well operations equipment
- Specification and technical/quality management during the provision of wellheads, OCTG and completions equipment.
- Rotating equipment including compressors, pumps, motors, etc.
- Design, procurement and construction processes during major exploration and production projects.
- Significant experience of the fabrication of steel structures and pressure containment equipment.
- Experience of OCTG/ line pipe and other drilling and completions equipment manufacture.
- Relevant experience in Welding Engineering issues.
- Qualified to degree standard in an engineering discipline.
- Non-destructive Testing � good understanding of procedures used for the examination of mechanical equipment. Able to identify optimum processes and competent operators and potential risks.
- Formal training in Quality Management Systems (QMS) implementation an advantage.
- Formal training in Health, Safety and Environment issues an advantage.
- Formal training in Health, Safety and Environment issues an advantage.
- Lead Auditor qualification considered an advantage.
