Our London based client has a requirement for a Project Manager to manage a number of projects covering a wide range of subjects (Well Engineering, HSSE, Production and Maintenance Systems).
Principle responsibilities will include
- Developing and communicating a thorough understanding of the requirements for the project
- Building and maintaining good working relationships with the business users and 3rd parties.
- Ensure the solution developed meets the requirements and is fit for purpose.
- QA activities on deliverables, liaising with design teams and proactively managing issues/blockers
- Lead and manage the project team through the requirements capture phase, understand the current business processes, manage the design, manage the implementation of the solution.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of best practice processes and relevant business applications for each business area.
- Lead and stimulate robust discussion on proposed solution.
- Problem solving and presenting proposals / recommendations of solutions.
- Change Management.
- To deliver project on time and within budget
- To manage the full budget capabilities of the project, reporting forecasting on a monthly basis to specified deadlines.
Key Skills / Experience Required:
- It is essential that you have experience good general business experience and delivery of Production System projects to a standard methodology.
- The role requires strong leadership, direction and management.
- Candidate will have proven experience in planning production system projects, preferably from within a similar environment and managing third party suppliers.
- Able to work with people and co-ordinate a number of competing client requirements.
- Interaction between IT and the business is crucial for the success of this project
- Excellent communication and management skills required.
- Innovative and creative Problem and Solution Analysis.
- Working closely with the project teams within a busy project office, you will ensure proposed solution meets business requirements and fits with the company standards.
- Minimum requirement - Graduate or equivalent.
- Previous delivery experience of Production System projects.
- Proven business leadership skills in a global environment
- Demonstrate good management skills in a challenging busy and fast paced environment
- Good reporting and documenting skills
- Experience of operating at a senior level within an IT&T business consultancy role (ideally in an energy or utilities based business but not essential).
