Senior Risk Manager

Our Client is a major minerals company operating globally. The Mining Business Unit operations cover the first phase of the energy cycle and consist of four main activities: mineral exploration (discovering new ore deposits), mining (extraction of energy minerals), ore processing and site reclamation following mining activities. The company operates a number of mines and mineral process plants in Francophone West Africa.

Our Client has a requirement for a SENIOR RISK MANAGER reporting into the Project Department, your mission consists in leading and managing the network of project development teams in charge of analysis and risk management for each of their Projects respectively.

>> To do this, you are responsible for:
- Deploying risk analysis methods in the projects, to raise awareness and provide training to Project teams in this area;
- Ensuring the successful execution and relevance of analysis sessions and monitoring the resulting action plans;
- Analyzing consistency between the risk analyses and the financial provisions made in the Project budgets.

>> REQUIREMENTS

> You have:
- Trained Engineer status;
- Broad experience in industrial (metallurgical, mining, petrochemical, etc.) facility startup and testing;
- Very good interpersonal skills;
- A good writing style;
- An analytical approach and the ability to summarize.

English and French are essential (other languages would be a bonus)

Many assignments are to be expected to come out of this growth phase.
