Location: Francophone West Africa Our Client is a major minerals company operating globally. The Mining Business Unit operations cover the first phase of the energy cycle and consist of four main activities: mineral exploration (discovering new ore deposits), mining (extraction of energy minerals), ore processing and site reclamation following mining activities. The company operates a number of mines and mineral process plants in Francophone West Africa.
Our Client has a requirement for a SCHEDULER/ PROJECT PLANNER (France) reporting to the Project Department, your mission consists in creating the schedules for a portfolio of front-end phase projects and the critical analysis of project schedules submitted by engineering departments in the basic design or implementation phase.
>> To this end, you are responsible for:
- Collecting and validating direct sub-contractors' schedules for your Project portfolio and creating consolidated schedules, analyzing, controlling and validating the schedules created by engineering departments, highlighting the margins;
- Consolidating all sub-project schedules and creating master schedules for your project portfolio;
- Providing assistance to project managers in executing their action plans.
Initially the position will be based Paris, France, then near the mine in Francophone West Africa.
>> Your Profile:
- You hold an engineering degree;
- You have proven, similar experience within industry Project teams;
- You have very good interpersonal skills, an analytical approach and the ability to summarize;
- You are familiar with Primavera and MS Project;
- Your English is fluent (it is assumed your French will be to a good standard due to location, preferably fluent).
