Location: Francophone West Africa Our Client is a major minerals company operating globally. The Mining Business Unit operations cover the first phase of the energy cycle and consist of four main activities: mineral exploration (discovering new ore deposits), mining (extraction of energy minerals), ore processing and site reclamation following mining activities. The company operates a number of mines and mineral process plants in Francophone West Africa.
Our Client has a requirement for a COST CONTROLLER reporting to the Project Department, your mission consists in performing analysis and cost control for the Project.
>> To this end, you are responsible for:
- Establishing the Projects' WBS and ensuring it is consistent with the schedule monitoring;
- Challenging the Project budget created by engineering;
- Coordinating the creation of sub-project budgets and ensuring their consolidation (DSCP);
- Validating and monitoring, in conjunction with the Project scheduler, the forecast cost payment schedule (cash and commitments) covering all project phases;
- Monitoring and managing, in close conjunction with the Project Director, the budget transfers and the use of provisions for expenditure;
-Interfacing with engineering cost control to monitor and control the re-forecasts and costs on completion.
>> Your Profile:
- You hold an Engineering or Business School degree;
- You have proven, similar experience as a project owner or prime contractor within Project teams, in the production phase in complex projects;
- You have good interpersonal skills;
- You have an analytical approach and the ability to summarize;
- You have a good knowledge of SAP;
- You are fluent in both English and French.
Knowledge of the role of estimator is a plus
