ENVIRONMENTAL SUPERINTENDENT

McArthur River Mine NT

McArthur River Mining Pty Ltd operates a zinc-lead-silver mine in which 2.2 million tonnes of ore is extracted each year. McArthur River Mine is Fly-in, Fly-out based from Darwin, and is located in the Gulf of Carpentaria region of the Northern Territory

Key responsibilities include:

Implementation of Environmental Management Systems

Ongoing compliance with internal and external reporting

Coordinate site wide environmental monitoring

Analysis and reporting of Environmental data

Manage specific environmental project work such as rehabilitation and site consultants

The successful candidate will have qualifications in Environmental Science, Engineering, or Natural Resource Management. A demonstrated knowledge of environmental impacts and controls, sampling and monitoring procedures/ methodology is required, along with knowledge of relevant legislation.

5 or more years experience with environment in mining, mineral processing or other similar industrial facilities, as well as liaising with regulatory agencies is highly regarded.

Reporting directly to the HSE Manager, the working roster is 5/2,4/3 home for weekends.
