About the Job

Mining Engineer - Principal UG Coal

No worries, this role is for a Principal Mining Engineer who'll enjoy the international technical challenges without the heavy business development.

Working directly under the Group GM who reports to the CEO, you will help develop business in new areas, but your focus will remain technical.

Commodity specific structure - operate in a team of 9

Stick with a client throughout the whole project, so you have a deeper understanding of the real issues and encourage repeat business.

Reputation for quality allowing expansion within the global Coal Division

Increased market share while others have waned

Team-focussed projects creating open knowledge sharing and continuous personal development

Assist in the development of more junior Mining Engineers and grow with high level technical management

No mergers on the cards, just structured, organic growth. Think South America and Asia, as well as expanding local teams to keep up with demand.

Current work includes:

Technical audits, feasibility studies,

Due Diligence, longwall optimisation studies

Africa, Brazil, Asia, South Africa and Australia

10yr + mine planning experience with strong technical capabilities in UG coal. Ability to encourage excellence through teamwork and work in a structured yet flexible environment.
