Looking for someone to build a team over next few years
Our client is a medium sized civil contractor who specialise in small road and pipeline projects. Based about 30 mins from the CBD they currently require a land surveyor to help build there surveying department.

They currently do not have a surveying department but are looking to bring a qualified surveyor for a long term process and look to grow this area to 4 or 5 surveyors.

You will be responsible for:

Perform field and office based survey tasks and computations as per instructions from the Engineering Managers
Drafting and calculations
Ability to work independently to complete set of tasks and also be part of a team to achieve project driven deliverables
Safe working methods and supervising staff to maintain safe working methods during all field operations Provide survey reports when required
Liaise with clients regarding survey requirements
Be responsible for the care and maintenance of the survey equipment and vehicle used on the job
Provide administrative information as required including time-sheets and QA records
Set out for construction (Roads, Drainage, Bulk Earthworks, Footings, Pads, Piles, Walls, etc)
The successful applicant will show:

Excellent written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated competence in the use of survey equipment and software systems
The ability to be hands on and work well autonomously and within a team
