Reporting into the Regional Manager investigate requests for public lighting focusing on the road network and implement appropriate lighting solutions as well as investigate and resolve glare complaints. Conduct assessment of the public lighting component of development applications and provide technical advice regarding a range of internal and external customers.

Provide technical advice and prepare lighting designs, sketch plans and job briefs in accordance with the street lighting design guidelines. Assess and approve lighting plans by external designers as part of the development approval process.

In the role you will utilize your knowledge of the practices of road lighting as contained in the Public Lighting Code, ability to inspect and assess lighting requests and implement appropriate lighting solutions as well as approve lighting designs by others. Knowledge of software programs used for lighting design.
